LLOYD BLADES
Lloyd F. (Mike) Blades, 68, of 4900 S. M-18, Beaverton, died Friday, July 18, in the Saginaw Veterans Hospital after a long illness. Born in Beaverton July 29, 1917, he had spent his lifetime there. Mr. Blades was a crane operator in construction and served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of the Gladwin County VFW Post 7303. Mr. Blades and the former Betty Onweller were married July 14, 1940, in Beaverton.
Besides his wife, he is survived by 2 sons, Gary and Larry of Beaverton; 2 brothers, Adrian of Beaverton and Clare of Pontiac; 2 sisters, Jeanne Reiley of Lake City and Barbara Morgan of Taylr; a step-brother William Kennedy of Beaverton, one step sister, Myra Scoby of Mt. Clemens; 7 grandchildren and a great grandchild.
Services were held Monday at 1 p.m. form the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton Chapel with Pastor Ed Jaynes officiating. Graveside rites were held by the VFW at the Dale Cemetery..
