Lester Bishop
LESTER BISHOP
Lester M. Bishop, 58, of 5402 West Dale Rd., Beaverton, died Saturday, Dec. 13, in the Gladwin Area Hospital following a short illness. Born in Beaverton Township on August 22, 1922, he had spent his lifetime here. Mr. Bishop was a heavy equipment operator for the Gladwin County Road Commission. He was a veteran of World War II. Mr. Bishop and the former Violet Wirt were married on May 14, 1943, in Gladwin.
Besides his wife, he is survived by 2 sons, Roger and Billy Joe of Beaverton; 4 daughters, Mrs. David (Judy) Cole of Mt. Morris, Mrs. Francis (Vickie) Hamilton and Mrs. Dennis (Linda) Creguer of Beaverton and Mrs. Steven (Tamie) Robinson of Gladwin; 3 sisters, Mrs. Sarah Fisher of Bellville, Mrs. Dorothy Romatz and Mrs. Bertha Green of Beaverton; and 8 grandchildren.
Services were held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton Chapel. The Rev. Gerald Ware officiated and burial was in the Beaverton Cemetery..
