Howard Bigham
Howard B. Bigham, 62, of 103 South M-18, Gladwin, died suddenly Monday,
Aug. 13 in the Midland Hospital Center. Born in Bloomingville, Ohio, on March , 1917, he
came to Gladwin County in 1937, from Ohio. A veteran of World War I, he retired from Dow
Chemical Co. in March. Mr. Bigham and the former Rose Thomas were married April 24, 1939,
in Gladwin.
Surviving besides his wife are 2 sons, Roger of Beaverton and Ronald of Gladwin; 4 daughters,
Mrs. Ronald (Janet) Mundy of Nixon, Texas, Mrs. Delbert (Patricia) Owens of Coleman, Mrs. James
(Rosemary) Misko of Gladwin and Debora, at home; one sister, Mrs. Velone Grubaugh of Bancroft;
and 16 grandchildren.
Services were held Thursday at 11 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Rev. Father
Joseph Castanier will officiate and burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Arrangements are
in charge of the Hall Funeral Home.
