Thomas Bergman
THOMAS BERGMAN
Thomas D. Bergman, 53, of Mt. Pleasant, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, in an automobile accident in Midland County. Born in Beaverton on September 8, 1918, he lived there until 10 years ago when the family moved to Mt. Pleasant. He had served in the Marine Corps during World War II and had been employed at the Dow Chemical Company in Midland for 31 years.
Mr. Bergman and the former Rosalie Gerhart were married in Missisippi on August 26, 1939. Surviving besides his wife, are one daughter, Mrs. Dennis (Cathi) Lalone of Shepherd; two sons, Gary of Midland and David of Indianapolis; his step-mother, Mrs. Abbie Bergman of Beaverton; four sisters, Mrs. Larry (Marjorie) Arehart of Beaverton; Mrs. Richard (Eleanor) Tucker of Phonix, Ariz.; Mrs. Donald (Jean) Berner and Mrs. Dallas (Ann) Mowery, both of Midland; and two brothers, William and Calvin, both of Beaverton. Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home in Beaverton with the Rev. Randall Roose officiating. Burial was in the Dale Cemetery.
