Gerald Benson
Gerald A. Benson, 62, of Gladwin, passed away Sept. 28, 2007 at MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland.
He was born Oct. 24, 1944 in Harrison, Michigan to Oshel “Smokey” and Sylvia (Fitzpatrick) Benson.
He was employed as a truck driver for a pharmaceutical company. He had lived in Gladwin County most of his life.
Gerald is survived by his daughters, Paula (John) of St. Clair Shores and Melinda; son, Kelly (Sally) Benson of Chesaning; two grandchildren; special friend, Shirley Bowman of Gladwin; four sisters, Karen (Bill) Carey of Sanford, Wanda (Joe) Swanton of Beaverton, Cindy (Jim) Bailer of Coleman and Manie Krevinghaus of Winnepeg, Canada; brother, Randy (Beth) Benson of Beaverton; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 5, 2007 at Grace Bible Church in Gladwin. According to the wishes of the family cremation has taken place.
