EDWARD L. BENNETT
Edward L. Bennett, 80, of 205 Glidden, Beaverton, died Monday, Aug. 15, 1994, at MidMichigan Regional Medical Center - Midland, after a long illness. Born Feb. 10, 1914 in Kibbie, he moved to Gladwin County in 1970 from Coleman. He retired as a mechanic from a Ford dealership in Beaverton in 1975. He married the former Violet Swarvar in Georgia on Dec. 26, 1942.
Survivors include one son, David of Beaverton; one daughter, Janice Hain of Flint; one brother, Harold of Clare; one sister, Edna Andersson of Clare; and 2 granddaughters, Julie and Kellie Hain of Flint. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Charels and Harland.
Rites will be held today (Wednesday) at 1 p.m. from Hall Funeral Home, Beaverton Chapel. The Rev. David K. Stewart, Sr. will officiate, and burial will be in Beaverton Cemetery, with a special VFW graveside service. .
