Wilbur Pal Behnke

SERVICES HELD SUNDAY FOR WILBUR BEHNKE

Wilbur Pal, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Behnke died January 2, at his home on Silverleaf street. Wilbur was born February 1, 1928, at Gladwin. He leaves to mourn his death his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Behnke, two brothers, two sisters, Carl and Lawrence of Gladwin, Mrs. Stuart Merrill of Grandville, and Clara of Gladwin, two neices and a nephew, two grandmothers, Mrs. Katie Behnke of Durand, Mrs. Helene Lange of Gladwin, besides a host of uncles, aunts and cousins.

Those from out of town who came to attend the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. George Behnke, Edwin Behnke, Mrs. Katie Behnke, and Mrs. Otto Behnke of Durand; Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Merrill of Grandwille; Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Johnson, daughter Phylis of Midland; Wesley Merrill and son Glenn of Mt. Pleasant, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Hall, daughter Rose Ella, of Farewell. The pall bearers were Richard Zettle, Wayne Hutson, Oris Foor, Richard Edick, Charles Klein and Glenn Merrill.

We will often think of that dear one, Who now is silent and cold, Thank God, we all know he's in heaven, And his name in Christ's book is enrolled. Dear parents, dear brothers and sisters, Prepare to enter the gate That Jesus so kindly has opened, On the way that is narrow and strait Where the sweet angels are singing,

Forever with God to remain And our dear one is waiting And there we will see him again.
