Frank Behnke
FRANK BEHNKE DIES WEDNESDAY AT FARWELL
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, February 22, at two o'clock
at St. Paul's Episcopal church for Frank Behnke, conducted by Rev. Bernard C. Roth. Burial
services were at Highland cemetery. Mr. Behnke died February 19, 1936, at his home near Farwell
after an illness of a year. He was born July 4, 1872, at Fulton, Illinois. September 21, 1891,
he married Miss Kate Shuette of Melrose Park Illinois.
Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Katie Behnke, eight sons and two daughters, Otto,
George, Alvin, Milly and Mrs. Lee Hall of Durand; William, August and Clarence of Gladwin; Edwi of
Lance Creek, Wyoming, and Henry of Renton, Washington. One daughter, Sophia, died in infancy. The
pall bearers were Charles Klein, D. M. Paxton, Roy Edick, George W. Taylor, Frank Flynn and John E.
Capling.
Those from out of town who came for the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. George Behnke and
son Harold, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Behnke, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Hall and daughter, Wanda Lee an Mary Ann, Alvin
Behnke, Milly Behke, Robert Smith and Wayne Keyworth, Mr. and Mrs. John Sandula, daughter Barbara and
Otto Euler.
