Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Eugene Baumann

   Eugene Baumann, 96, of Clare, passed away June 15, 2006 at the home of his son with his family by his side. He was born in Mecosta County on June 8, 1910 to the late Joseph and Mary (Lehnert) Baumann. He married the former Anita Murphy on Oct. 27, 1937 at Visitation Catholic Church in Detroit with Fr. Albert Baumann officiating. She preceded him in death on July 11, 2004.

   He was a farmer in Clare County since 1941. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was a charter member of the K of C #5280 Fr. Artman Council.

   Surviving are his children, Anne Marie (Sister Jean Therese) Baumann of Linwood, Marge (Mike) Talbot of Saginaw, Joe (Rita) Baumann of Yukon, Okla., Phil (Martha) Baumann of Gladwin, Mike (Pat) Baumann of San Jose, Calif., Fred (Connie) Baumann of Clarkston, Steve (Brandie) Baumann of Denver, Colo., and Bill (Jan) Baumann of Gladwin; 21 grandchildren; and 28 Great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents; his wife; three grandchildren, Ryan, Sandy and Dennis; four sisters; and six brothers.

   Funeral liturgy will be celebrated on June 21 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Thomas Kowalczyk presiding with burial in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. The family requests memorials for Sacred Heart Church or the Bernadine Sisters. A prayer service was held Tuesday at Sisson Funeral Home.
