ANTHONY BASNER


  Anthony E. Basner, 74, of 229 N. Forest, Standish, died Friday, Feb. 17, at his home after a short illness. Born in Buckeye Township, Nov. 2, 1914, he was employed by Monitor Sugar in Bay City until retiring in 1977. Surviving are 4 brothers, Joseph of Coleman, Nelson of Tawas, John of Burton and Orvail of Wayne; and 2 sisters, Mrs. Ethel Babcock of Saginaw and Mrs. Edith Milliman of Wheeler. Rites were held Monday at 3 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin Chapel. The Rev. Leonard Newman officiated and burial was in the Arbutus Cemetery..
