Jack/John Barton
The death of Mr. John Barton, well known among the
lumberman in these parts, was brifly noted last week.
He had been employed as foreman in the woods by
different lumber firms for several years. He was a
stout robust man of about middle age, and his sudden
demise was a surprise to all who knew him. He died at
the residence of his father-in-law, Mr. Betzner, in
East Saginaw last week, after an illness of only about
two weeks, his disease being inflammation of the
brain. He leaves a young wife, to whom he had been
married but seven months.
