Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Goldie Ballard

   Goldie M. Ballard, 91, of Gladwin, died Sunday, Sept. 24, in the Clare Nursing Home after a long illness. Born in Avonia, Pa., May 18, 1897, she moved to Gladwin County in 1916. She was a member of the Elm Grove Church of God, Farm Bureau and the Bard Ladies Aid. The former Goldie Fetterolf, she was married to F. LeRoy Ballard, Dec. 20, 1920, in Pennsylvania. He preceded her in death April 23, 1958.

   Surviving are 2 sons, F. Wayne of Gaylord and Clarence of Gladwin; 3 daughters, Mrs. Berman (Lucile) Reid and Mrs. Twyla Card of Gladwin and Mrs. Richard (Virgilene) Tolly of Midland; one sister, Grace Hansen of Gladwin; 17 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. Services were held Tuesday at 1 p.m. from the Sisson-Mathews Funeral Home. The Rev. Ray Davis officiated and burial was in the Highland Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family and a specific charity will be named later.
