Edith Bain
EDITH BAIN
Edith E. Bain, 86, of 240 E. M-61, Gladwin, died Saturday, Nov. 22, in the Midland Hospital Center after a long illness. Born in Webster, W. Va., Nov. 6, 1900, she came to Gladwin County in 1959 from Pontiac. Mrs. Bain was a registered nurse at St. Joseph Hospital in Pontiac. She was a member of the Hay Senior Citizens Club and served as a nurse with the American Red Cross during World War I. The former Edith Conley, she was married to Forest Bain in 1952 in Kentucky. He preceded her in death Nov. 30, 1962.
Surviving are one daughter, Edith Moncrief of Pontiac; one brother, George Reed of Gladwin; and several nieces and nephews. Services were held today, Wednesday, at 1 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin Chapel. The Rev. Carter Miller officiated and burial was in the Tobacco Township Cemetery. .
