Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Duane Ayre

   Duane Thomas Ayre, 62, of Flint, died Friday, June 2. Born in Gladwin on February 18, 1916, he served in the Army during World War II and was employed by Chevrolet Manufacturing until retiring in 1970. Surviving are his wife, Judith: 5 children, Arlene Taylor of Flint, Donald of North Platte, Neb., Charles of Roseville, Susan Parks of Ft. Campbell, Ky, and Donald at home: his mother Maude Ayre of Flint; one brother, Laurence of Fullerton, Calif.; 2 sisters, Mable Irene Ayre and Betty Aued of Flint; and 10 grandchildren. Rites were held June 5, with Dr. William Moulton officiating. Burial was in the Highland Cemetery, Gladwin.
