Gayla Ayers
Gayla L. Ayers, 49, of Monroe, Michigan passed away Sunday, March 5, 2006 at 10:15 a.m. in her home. Gayla was born March 21, 1956 in Farmington, New Mexico the daughter of Robert and Patricia (Peterman) Willson. She moved to the Monroe area in 1972 from Indiana and was a 1974 graduate of Bedford High School. Gayla married Douglas H. Ayers April 26, 1980 in Lambertville. She was a homemaker and enjoyed bowling and yard work.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Doug; her mother, Patricia L. Willson of Gladwin; three loving children, Jason Scott (Amber) Gentry, Jared D. Ayers and Jessica Marie Ayers all of Monroe; two brothers, Gregory D. and Marquis W. Willson of Gladwin; and two cherished grandchildren. Sadly her father Robert preceded her in death. A funeral service celebrating her life was held Friday, March 10 with Rev. Gary Pickrell and Rev. Harold Raines, pastors of Monroe Full Gospel Church, officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
