George Aultman
George R. Aultman, 94, of Coleman died at home Tuesday, March 7, 2006. He was born Sept. 29, 1911 in Putnam County, Ohio, the son of Ralph and Lillie (Bierman) Aultman. George married Lillian M. Peters April 28, 1952 in Angola, Indiana. He served with the United States Army during WWII in the anti-aircraft artillery division fighting in the Pacific Theater. George was a lifetime farmer and retired from Dow Chemical Styrofoam Division in 1974.
His survivors include his wife Lillian of Coleman; sons George (Deborah) Aultman of Mt. Pleasant, Sam Aultman of Coleman, and Paul (Michelle) Aultman of Coleman; five grandchildren, Ashley, Whitney, Paige, Grantland and Victoria; sisters, Marjorie Kelly and Louise Dryzga, both of Midland, and Betty Athey of Sanford. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Bud, Rex and Gaylon Aultman.
A funeral service was held Saturday, March 11 at the O’Laughlin Funeral Home, Inc. with pastor Lynn Chappell and Rev. David Koski officiating. Burial took place in Midland Memorial Gardens.
