Samuel Asch, Sr.
SERVICES FRIDAY FOR SAMUEL ASCH
Samuel Asch, Sr., 89, passed away at the home of his daughter in Midland Tuesday after several
weeks illness. Mr. Asch was born Feb. 22, 1866 in Berne, Switzerland. He spent the last 45 years
in Beaverton, coming there from Bay county. He had been in the United States for 61 years. Mr.
Asch was a member of the RLDS Church of Beaverton.
Survivors are seven sons, Christ of Bay City, Edward of Flint, Fred, William, Albert and David of
Midland, and Samuel Jr. of Beaverton; three daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Collett and Mrs. Edith Burke
of Midland, and Mrs. Mabel Groves of Flint; 45 grandchildren and 59 great grandchildren. His wife
and one son, John are deceased. Services will be held in the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter Day Saints in Beaverton, Friday, February 3, at 2 p.m. The Elder L. E. Grice of Midland will
officiate. Burial will be in the Dale cemetery with his sons as paulbearers.
