Naomi Asch

SERVICES HELD FOR MRS. SAMUEL ASCH

   Funeral services for Mrs. Naomi Asch, 72, were held Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Latter Day Saints church in Beaverton with the Elder Harold Keeley and Elder Lewis Grice officiating. Mrs. Asch suffered a cerebal hemorrage Tuesday afternoon and was taken to the Midland Hospital, where she passed away 24 hours later.

   The former Miss Naomi Kinsey, she was born August 15, 1882 at Brant, Mich. In August 1931 she was married to Samuel Asch Sr. The Asch's lived on a farm south of Beaverton until a few years ago when they retired and moved to Beaverton. Mrs. Asch was a member of the Latter Day Saints church here.

   She is survived by her husband, Samuel Asch Sr., one son, L.A. Cheney of Williamston; seven step sons, Chris of Bay City, Edward of Flint, Fred, Albert, William and David, all of Midland and Samuel Jr. of Beaverton; Mrs. Edith Burke of Midland and Mrs. Mable Groves of Flint; 43 grandchildren; three siters, Mrs. Ruth Babbit of Owosso, Mrs. Lydia Griffeth of Brant and Mrs. Lizzie Davis of Corunna; and four brothers, Orville of Owosso, Aury of Beaverton, Grant and Lester of Muskegon.

   Interment was made in the Dale cemetery.
