Lydia Asch
EX-BEAVERTON LADY DIES
Lydia Ann Asch, 74, died Sunday at the home of her son, Col. Alfred Asch, USAF, in Falls Church,
Virginia, where she had been visiting the past month. Mrs. Asch lived in Beaverton most of her
life until 20 years ago when she moved to Midland. Born in Canada on May 21, 1889, she was a member
of the R.L.D.S. Church in Midland.
Surviving are two sons, Col. Asch, of Virginia, and Vyril, of Tuscon, Ariz; two daughters, Mrs.
Durwood (Ileane) Simpson, and Mrs. Victor (Leoma) Caldecourt, of Midland Township; two brothers,
Milton Steinhaus, of Flint, and William Steinhaus, of Port Huron; two sisters, Mrs. Edward Lipke, of
Beaverton, and Mrs. Everett Finken, of Brown City; 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services were held today (Wednesday) at 1 p.m. at the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter Day Saints in Midland with burial in the Beaverton Cemetery.
