Raymond N. Armstrong
SERVICES HELD FOR RAY ARMSTRONG
Raymond N. Armstrong, 73 of Beaverton, died Thursday, March 5, in Saginaw Veterans Hospital after a long illness. Born in Estey on Sept. 2, 1896, he had lived in Gladwin County for 24 years. Mr. Armstrong was retired from Dow Chemical Co. and a veteran of World War I. He was married to the former Genevieve Hunter on May 19, 1922, in Grayling.
Surviving besides his wife, are three sons, Richard and Lee, of Midland and Francis, of Hope; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Ostrander of Hope, and Mrs. Margaret Green, of Midland; 22 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. A Rosary was said at 8 p.m. Sunday at the Hall Funeral Home. Services were held Monday at 11 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Church. The Rev. Father Edward Trombley officiated and burial was in the Dale Cemetery.
