Jemima Anderson
Jemima Glendenning Anderson was born in Haldiman county, Ont., May 25, 1856.
She removed to Sanilac county, Mich., at seven years of age with her parents, where she lived
until her marriage to Gideon Anderson in February, 1882. After their marriage they resided in
Canada for a short time and in 1885 they moved to Gladwin county, making their home in Sage
township, where she resided till she departed this life Sept. 11, 1919, aged 63 years, 4 months
and 17 days.
She is survived by her husband, two sons, David and William, also three grandchildren, all of
Sage; two sisters, Mrs. Thomas Shell, and Mrs. Marv Brown of Butman, one brother, David Glendenning
of Saginaw. One sister and one brother preceded her in death, also a daughter at two years of age.
Deceased was a faithful attendant of divine service and an attentive hearer. Funeral service was
conducted by Rev. A. J. Hettler, assisted by Rev. W. H. Watson of Grand Rapids, Mich., at Riley C
hurch, Sunday. Interment in Ridge cemetery. A large circle of friends gathered to pay their respects
to the departed.
