Harriette (Nora) Anderson
Harriette (Nora) Anderson, 85, of Gladwin, died Tuesday, April 23, in the
Midland Hospital Center following a short illness.
Born in Sage Township Jan. 6, 1900, she spent her lifetime here. She was a
member of Gladwin United Methodist Church and WWI Barracks Auxiliary 3421.
The former Harriette Molesworth, she was married to David Anderson Nov. 14,
1917, in Gladwin. He preceded her in death Oct. 6, 1971.
Surviving are one son, Worth (Mike) of Flint; 5 daughters, Mrs. Grace Anderson
of Midland, Mrs. Horace (Faith) Griffin, Mrs. Arthur (Harriet) Schindler and Mrs. Melvin (Dolores)
Winkler of Gladwin and Mrs. Larry (Rita) Hall of Hope; 2 sisters, Mrs. Sylvia Anderson of Fenton
and Mrs. Vivian Vachon of Flint; 22 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and one great great
grandchild. She was preceded in death by a son, Glenn, in World War II and a daughter, Mary, as an
infant.
Services were held Friday at 1 P.M. from the United Methodist Church. The Rev.
Donald Bates officiated and burial was in the Ridge Cemetery. Arrangements were in charge of the
Hall Funeral Home.
