Arthur Anderson
Arthur L. Anderson, 69, of 1000 Hoffman Rd., Gladwin, died Monday, Jan. 23,
in the Midland Hospital Center after a short illness. Born in Clio, Oct. 6, 1919, he moved to
Gladwin County in 1951. Mr. Anderson worked at Robinson Industries and farmed in Gladwin Township
until retiring in 1978. He was a clock maker and member of the Wagerville United Methodist Church.
Mr. Anderson was a past trustee for Gladwin Township and a veteran of World War II. Mr. Anderson
and the former Luelle Nunn were married Aug. 10, 1948, in Millington. She preceded him in death
May 2, 1988.Surviving are 2 sons, Arthur Jr. of Tipp City, Ohio and David of Tigard, Ore.; one
daughter, Ardath Anderson of Gladwin; one brother, Clifford of Frankenmuth; one sister, Ella Bosman
of Brookville, Fla.; and 5 grandchildren. Services will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. from the
Wagerville United Methodist Church. The Rev. Wayne Jensen will officiate and burial will be in the
McClure Cemetery. Arrangements are in charge of the Sisson-Mathews Funeral Home. Memorials may be
made to the Leukemia Foundation.
