SERVICES HELD FOR ARCHIE ANDERSON


  Rites were held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home for Archie L. Anderson, 67, of Beaverton, who passed away Friday in Saginaw Veterans Hospital after an illness of two months. The Rev. Gordon Showers officiated and burial was in Dale Cemetery. Born in Mars, Pa. on May 7, 1897, he was employed as an oil well driller. A veteran of World War I he had lived for 25 years in Gladwin County. He was married to the former Myrtle Kesser on March 26, 1918 and she preceded him in death Jan. 29, 1957. On June 18, 1960, he married the former Doris Schmidt, who survives.

  Other survivors include two sons, Dale, of North Carolina, and Thomas, of Beaverton; five daughters, Mrs. Mildred Lockett, of Ohio, Mrs. Gladys Killian, Mrs. Deloris Mitchell, all of Beaverton, and Mrs. Velma Dorsey, of Empire; one brother, Donald, of Akron, Ohio; and a sister, Mrs. Ethel Loomis, of Atwater, Ohio; 20 grandchildren and one great grandchild..
