William Theodore Ambler
RITES TODAY FOR FORMER RESIDENT
Services were held this morning (Wednesday) at 10:30 a.m. from the Hall Funeral Home for William T. Ambler, 68, of Seamon, Kan., and formerly of Beaverton, who died Saturday morning. Born in Van Wert County, Ohio, on Aug. 17, 1896, he was employed as a machinist. He came to Beaverton in 1925, and had been living in Kansas the past several years. A veteran of World War I, Mr. Ambler was a member of the American Legion and V.F.W. He was married to the former Bertha A. Neal on Aug. 18, 1917, in Lima, Ohio. She preceded him in death in 1957. One son, Elmer R., of Scammon, two brothers and two grandchildren survive. The Rev. Gordon Showers officiated and burial was in Beaverton Cemetery. .
