Philip Aman
Philip F. Aman, 51, of 9861 Ashard Rd., Clare County, died suddenly Saturday,
May 24, at House Lake Camp Gound, Gladwin Game Refuge, of a heart attack. Born in Holland, Mich.,
November 22, 1923, the had been a resident of this area for 8 years, coming from Lake Station. He
and former Barbara Hoag were married January 8, 1972, in Flint. Mr Aman operated Aman's Grocery
and was employed at Gladwin Machine Products. He was a veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara; 2 sons, Michael and Joseph, at home; 5 daughters, Mrs. Suzanne
Mielke, Miss Phyliss Aman and Mrs. Marcella VanDerwill, all of Bay City, Miss Stephanie Aman of
Negunee, Mrs. Lillian Nedeau of Escanaba; mother, Mrs. Lillian Aman of Grand Rapids; 4 brothers, 2
sisters; and 5 grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Hall Funeral Home with the Rev. Fr. Joseph Castanier
officiating and burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
