Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Beulah Allen

   Beulah M. Allen, 82, of Gladwin passed away Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2007 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Saginaw.

   She was born Feb. 8, 1924 in Atlanta, Michigan to James and Ellen (Skinner) King Beulah married Charles Allen on May 4, 1946 in Alpena County.

   During World War II, Beulah worked at Willow Run producing airplanes for the war effort. She and Charles lived in Gladwin from 1965 to 1971, and came back in 1973. She was a member of the Gladwin Free Methodist Church.

   She is survived by her children, Gary (Janice) Allen of Mexico, Glenn Allen of Kentwood, Gwen Allen of Gladwin, Gerri Johnston of Fairfield, California, and Gaylene (Michael) Augustine of Gladwin; three grandsons; one granddaughter; one great-grandson; two great-granddaughters; and one brother, Lloyd King of Detroit.

   Services were held on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007 at the Gladwin Free Methodist Church. Rev. Phil Hortop officiated, and burial was in Sprat Cemetery, Alpena County.

   Memorials may be made to the Gladwin Free Methodist Church or the Kidney Foundation.
