Nova Adams
Nova Jean Adams, 74, of Gladwin, died Dec. 29, 2004 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Saginaw, suddenly. She was born Nov. 16, 1930 in Harrison to Ray and Beryl (Dunning) McIntosh. She lived in Gladwin County all her life. She married Carl Adams in Gladwin on Dec. 16, 1952; he died in 1961. Nova was a cook at Mid-Michigan Medical Center-Gladwin until she retired in 1994 after 20 years.
Surviving her are her daughters, Vickie (Donald) Chambers of Gladwin, Linda (Rod) Reid and Pam (Jerry) Worth, both of Mt. Pleasant, and Tammy Adams of Midland; 15 grandchildren and two Great grandchildren; sisters Leola Hude of Gladwin, Vonnie Leeck of Beaverton, Ella Doyle of Hemlock, Carol Gower of Bay City, Theron “Sue” Robbins of Auburn, Marsha McIntosh of Coleman, and Debbie McIntosh of Gladwin; brothers Jim McIntosh of Flint, Vern McIntosh of Midland, Leonard McIntosh and Tom McIntosh, both of Gladwin; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband; parents; brothers, Herb McIntosh, Lyle McIntosh and Jerry McIntosh; and sister, Elsie Swinehart.
Funeral services were held on Friday, Dec. 31 at Hall Funeral Home in Gladwin, with pastor Rod Reid officiating. Burial took place at Skeels Cemetery, Gladwin. Memorial contributions may be made to Lupus Foundation.
