Betty Adams

   Betty M. Adams, 86, formerly of Beaverton, passed away on April 23, 2005 in Sebring, Florida after a short illness. She was born May 30, 1918 in Bay City to Lewis and Anna Warren.

   She was married to Albert E. Adams on Sept. 6, 1936. During her years in Beaverton, she worked 27 years for the Agin’s five cent to $1 store. She was an active member of the Eastern Stars and Presbyterian Church.

   In 1972 she and her husband moved to Florida where she worked at K-Mart for 12 years. Betty loved to make crafts and crocheted many things that were given to family and friends.

   She is survived by her husband, Albert E. Adams; her children, Gary (Phyllis) Adams of Sebring, Florida, and Judy (Wm.-Moose) Oberloier of Beaverton; her grandchildren, Chris (Cheryl) Adams, Melinda (Robert) Freeland, Jeff (Michelle) Adams, all of Sebring, Florida, Bill (Cathy) Oberloier, Michael (Beth) Oberloier, and Lynette (Kevin) Smith, all of Beaverton, and Lauri (Al) Roberts of Coleman; 17 Greatgrandchildren; and two sisters, Lillian Miller of Bay City and Marion Terry of Gladwin. She is predeceased by her parents; brothers, Irwin, Fred, William, Harold and Presley Warren; sister, Violet Meier, and many nieces and nephews.

   A memorial service has been planned to honor Betty’s life at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 7 at the First Presbyterian Church, 201 S. Ross Street, Beaverton. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Beaverton.
