Gladwin County Obituary/Death Notice
 
Victor Ables

   Victor John Abels died March 1, 2006 following a brief illness. He was predeceased by his parents Victor R. & Doris E. Abels.

   On Sept. 2, 2000, he married Sharon L. Marshall, the love of his life. She survives him along with his adored stepson, Kenny. Also surviving are his mother-in-law, Mary Johnson; brother-in-law, Darryl Johnson; three sisters-in-law, Barbara Massey, Mary Koski and Bonnie Hayward; one brother and three sisters, Mike (Shelly) Abels of West Olive, Marian (Tom) Cimbalik of Midland; Sharon (Frank) Yurgaites of Bay City and Susan (Michael) Toth of Bay City; two Godchildren that he loved and adored, Gregg (Jodi) Yurgaites of Bay City and Gretchen Toth (fiance Bryan Mazany) of Essexville. Also loved were nieces, Heidi (David) Gill of Bay City, Stephanie (Norm) Kamps of Coopersville and nephews, Jeff (Julie) Yurgaites, Matt (Trisha) Yurgaites and Aaron (Nichole) Toth, all of Bay City. John leaves behind many, many good friends to remember the good times. He also was predeceased by his father-in-law, Garth Johnson. John served his country in the Vietnam Conflict and was proud to have answered the call to duty. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed being out in the woods all of his life.

   As per John’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the donor’s favorite charity. Glory be to God He brings forth bread from the earth.
